I’ve recently been asked about some maternity portraits. The following are of a good friend of mine who was kind enough to allow me to use her photos for my blog. It was great fun looking through them again as her bump has now turned into a gorgeous 6 month old boy. There is a newborn picture of him elsewhere in this blog.

Getting about in a t-shirt and shorts and its nearly May. The climate in Brisbane is still a novelty for me.
The weather was perfect. What a better way to spend the late afternoon than exploring the botanic garden in search of willing flora to pose. These flowers (name, anyone?) obliged as did a thick stand of bamboo.
I love autumn in Brisbane.

Taking some time out to just “be”.
It’s just amazing. Being able to talk to friends and relatives over the internet via Skype. I think its going to become even more fun the older our little Miss gets. Already she is asking to see her cousin on the computer alot. What a lucky girl.
My friend below was trying to get a good look at me while I got a good look at him, during a recent trip to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. In case you can’t tell, it’s a cheeky grey kangaroo!

Our trip to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to feed some kangaroos. Just lovely.
I’ve been doing lots of editing lately. I love it, but I also love taking time out to do some just for “me”. Below is another shot of my princess on our recent visit to Sydney. I was showing her the photo this morning and she then became upset that she had “lost” the balloon, and her clothes. Her clothes are at home here but the balloon has no doubt long gone to where all good balloons eventually go.
I’m going to be doing some casting calls in the near future. More details to come!

Happy April 1st!
I’m having a very early morning. Someone who shall remain nameless, has a loud and annoying alarm on his phone. I think it is great he is getting up early to exercise, but if it was a tad bit less annoying and the phone hadn’t fallen under the bed during the night, it would have been lovely. Upside is I now have more time to do important things like blogging, instead of rushing to get out to the morning’s activity, while still trying to do many important things at once.
Speaking of photography (one of those important things), here is a shot I’d like to share of my princess in Sydney. Not far from Grandpa and Nanna M’s house. Currently she is asking the cat if she wants a “cup of tea?” What a cute thing.
